J. W. Young

Poet and Author J. W. Young. Her work was first published in the 2000's in women's magazines addressing topics such as fertility and music. She were recently chosen to be included in the inaugural issue of Flava' Zine focused on Juneteenth. J.W. Young had titled her first published literary work, "Marriage 2001: A Bruised Odyssey (Poems & Writings)". Her 2nd published work is "Momma's Gluten Free, Dairy Free & Sugar Free Cookbook of Louisiana Classics and Southern Food Essentials." She published a collection of recipes originally adapted for her own food restrictions but designed to satisfy any family's authentic tastes-savory, spicy, and fresh.

Young has recently been named a 2025 Black Authors Awards Winner, recognizing outstanding achievement in literature and a commitment to inspiring readers through powerful storytelling. Presented by Black Authors Association and Literacy Moments Magazine, the Black Authors Awards celebrate authors whose work amplifies diverse voices, promotes literacy, and creates lasting impact within communities. She has also produced a short print run of her next literary work, a collection of poetry focused on reclaiming her true heart and soul.
