I am a retired high school English teacher and Library Media Specialist. I have been married for 39 years and have two sons and five grandchildren. Although I lost my oldest son in 2021, my life is joyful because everyday I choose joy over pain. I wrote a lot when that happened. I am loved by God and in a relationship with the Creator. I loved teaching and interacting with my students everyday, especially on effective learning days. I loved reading books with them and helping them express themselves through writing or sharing their interpretations about stories. Writing has always been a passion of mine every since I was in middle school. I recently discovered writing poems and how expressive that type of writing is for me. My book is a book of poem with contributions from members of my family; all of us enjoy writing poems. I believe words are powerful- spoken or written. I really like creative writing, but honestly, any genre is phenomenal. Effective writing and encouraging words that inspire people are some of the most important things I do. I understand that people need people. I started a blog for writing inspirational pieces mostly for myself, after loosing my son and also to encourage family and friends.
