I’m Krithika — an author, creator, and most importantly, a mother to two wonderful daughters, Aarna and Aira.

My journey began at home, sharing stories of India (Bharat), its mythology, Gods and Goddesses, and the timeless wisdom woven into our traditions. As parents raising children far from our homeland, we wanted resources that sparked curiosity, built cultural pride, and made heritage feel joyful and accessible. We couldn’t find enough of that — so we began creating it.

My first book, The Marvelous Hindu Deities, was born from that desire and quickly resonated with families seeking meaningful cultural learning for their children. It introduces children to Hindu Gods and Goddesses through engaging illustrations and simple storytelling that makes mythology accessible and meaningful.

That experience led to the creation of Roots On Rise — a platform dedicated to sharing cultural treasures through playful learning and thoughtful storytelling. Our books and products are designed to be engaging, age-appropriate, and immersive, helping children build a deep connection to their roots while nurturing curiosity and confidence.

My second book, My Little Shloka & Mantra Book, gently introduces young children to Sanskrit shlokas and mantras with easy meanings, repetition, and calming rhythm. Designed to encourage focus and mindful learning, it also includes creative elements that keep children engaged in a peaceful, screen-free way.

While our journey began with Indian and Hindu heritage, our broader vision is to celebrate cultures from around the world — fostering pride, appreciation, and unity in diversity for the next generation.

Through every book & product, our goal is simple: to help children explore where they come from — and feel proud of it.
