David Linton

I am leading technical analyst in finance with over forty years’ experience. I write technical analysis books and have trained trading teams in over 30 countries. I also write travel books, having travelled to over 100 countries.

I am Australian and studied engineering at King’s College, University of London. In 2009 was awarded the Masters in Financial Technical Analysis (MFTA) by International Fedaration of Technical Analaysts. In 2010, ‘Cloud Charts – Trading success with the Ichimoku technique’ was published. My most recent technical analysis book is 'Predicting the Price - using the past to predict the future', pulished in September 2026. I am regular commentator on financial markets in the press and speaker at conferences globally.

In 2021, I published 'Around the World in 80 Countries - Travel Experiences of a Lifetime.' and have published a further nine short travel books since.
