Pavonis Giron

Pavonis Giron is an author/illustrator with a love of bold colors and a taste for exploration, whether that be in the great outdoors or between city blocks. Their debut picture book, A Rainbow in Brown, was acquired by Holt/Macmillan in a three-book deal. Currently based in Milwaukee, Pavonis grew up amongst the sun-bleached rocks of the Mojave Desert, and their interest in the natural word is a constant source of inspiration and wonder. In addition to writing and illustrating books for children, Pavonis has also worked in product and game design and holds a BFA in Sculpture & Metalsmithing from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
