Caryl Hallberg

Caryl Hallberg is a USA citizen living in Portugal.

Her home in Tomar, Portugal is an 800 year old stable located just below the Convento de Cristo castle and parklands. She shares her home with a podengo named Rosey, and a blue point siamese named Banda.

Her personal interests have to do with children, family, animals, health, agricultural sustainability, and higher levels of conscious living. She is herself a single parent of a now amazing adult son, and has been challenged by several serious illnesses. Caryl discovered through these experiences that there are ways of viewing reality that are more productive and evolved than others. In her role as a Pantheist Minister, Caryl approaches everything as containing divinity.

Caryl is the author of Rich Board, Poor Board, Your Diet Success Plan: Lower Your Weight and Elevate your Health and Happiness, and of the forthcoming book Navigating to Joy: 11 Steps Mapping Your Personal Path to Fulfillment. She has authored fantasy fiction novels under a pseudonym since 1971.

With the launch of her new novel, A Brush With Mortality, Caryl is offering her first work of fiction under her own name. This is also her first work in the genre of literary psychological suspense mystery.

She has degrees in landscaping, psychology, visual arts, and mythology. She particularly loves exploring ritual based oral traditions, dragons, witchcraft, and steampunk.

Caryl, a certified strategic life coach specialized in Emotional Intelligence, and a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Practitioner, transforming dysfunctional emotions and behaviors to produce happier more fulfilling daily outcomes. Through her practice at DogWatch Navigation, Caryl offers these services as well as Developmental Editing and coaching for writers.
