Rebekka Strand is a science fiction and fantasy author who blends wonder, survival, and adventure into unforgettable stories. Born in Norway in 1992, she grew up surrounded by books, creativity, and the halls of Gyldendal, one of Norway’s largest publishing houses, where her mother was the only female chief cover designer of her time. These early experiences gave Rebekka a lifelong love of stories and world-building.
In her thirties, after moving to San Diego, California, Rebekka found the contrast between frozen Nordic hills and sun-drenched beaches inspiring. During the pandemic, she began writing her first novel, discovering the courage to turn her lifelong passion into a career.
Rebekka holds a Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis and Complexity from Oslo Metropolitan University and has published in scientific journals, as well as self-publishing her grandfather’s memoir, Slinger. Her debut YA sci-fi novel, Shattered Ice, introduces readers to her unique voice and imaginative storytelling.
Today, Rebekka is building a growing body of speculative fiction that explores resilience, human connection, and the strange contradictions of life.
If you enjoy YA sci-fi and fantasy filled with survival, transformation, and a touch of the surreal, you’ll feel right at home in Rebekka’s worlds.
