Karen Funk

Karen Funk is a freelance journalist and author. She has been writing about career topics, the job market, leadership and diversity in the IT sector for over 20 years. As Senior Editor at CIO-Magazin and Computerwoche, she was responsible for "CIO of the Year", the most important IT award show for CIOs in German-speaking countries, for 17 years. How digital transformation can be shaped in a wide range of industries is a key focus in Karen's articles.

The special interest journalist is committed to inspiring, empowering and bringing together more women in IT. She volunteers in several women's networks and in the education sector.

Her first book "Hack the world a better place", which she wrote with Julia Freudenberg, Managing Director of the Hacker School, showcases how to supply our youth with the digital skills they need in the future and how companies can contribute.
