My name is Lee Cardwell. I have always aspired to live as a renaissance man. I have a liberal arts degree and nearly 30 years of teaching experience in the field of mathematics. I earned an MBA with an emphasis in finance working briefly in New York before consulting privately in asset-based management. I am both a sportsman and a lover of the creative arts. In this newest chapter, I am exploring life as a self-taught author and artist.
I have been inspired by authors Pat Conroy and John Updike. As an artist, I most admire the works of the impressionists and was thrilled to have spent time in Paris and London to see their works. My musical tastes run to blues-based bands like The Rolling Stones. In my free time, I play guitar and tinker with songwriting using 12-bar blues.
Although my novels are fictional, they often draw upon my experiences and interests as much as my restless imagination. I am blessed to have such a diverse set of friends, family, and acquaintances that have led me to this very point in my life. Retired from teaching, I look forward to sharing my art and writing with you, the reader.
