Writing is one of the best things you can do! It helps you keep up with things you thought you'd never forget when, in fact, you do forget. It helps you deal with difficult feelings and express deep feelings to those you love. It guides you through deep areas of faith. My poetry books have done that for me. Chocolate Cake and Other Losses; Another Slice of Chocolate Cake; and Metastatic Me all deal with pain, loss, and a difficult diagnosis. And Then There Were Grandchildren expresses the amazing experience of being a grandparent. Rocks, Roads, Reflections is my faith journey.

I am a retired United Methodist minister with degrees from Erskine Seminary, Emory University, and Limestone University. I am married, have three adult children, twelve grandchildren, and a cat named Sunshine.
