Fran Holler Twisdale

Fran Holler Twisdale has a lifetime pull toward Bible study and prayer all the way back to Sunday School and Bible School as a child. A person of many talents, Fran is an accomplished organist, a crafter of unique fine jewelry, and a gifted water color artist. In her professional years as a dentist, she spent part of her practice working in nursing homes. In the midst of these visits, conversation often turned to life's heavy burdens and that led to requests for prayer. From those experiences, Fran wrote words of comfort, which became her gift to her patients.

Her book, Prayerway to Heaven, provides further words of comfort and reflection in poetic prayer form from her thirty-year prayer journey. Fran’s own watercolor paintings provide a lovely accompaniment to the prayers she has written. She says that once you find prayer, it follows you everywhere.

Fran and her husband live in North Carolina and have three grown children.
