Amanda Marie Balkhi, Ph.D. is the Founder and Executive Director of the Balkhi Foundation, a philanthropic organization dedicated to leveling the playing field for children through education. Prior to her role at the Balkhi Foundation, Dr. Balkhi completed her clinical training within the University of Florida where she trained within the The University of Florida Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (UFOCD) Program, a nationally recognized training and treatment program for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
Dr. Balkhi's publications broadly encompass child and family health and wellbeing with specific interests in childhood chronic conditions such as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Dr. Balkhi is also the author of One, Two, What Should I Do? A Children’s Guide to Talking Back to OCD’s Intrusive Thoughts, an illustrated storybook that challenges children to talk back to their OCD Worry Monster.
