Steven J. Simmons is the author of Where Do Creatures Sleep at Night? and co-author with his son Cliff of Where Do Big Creatures Sleep and Night? and Where Do Ocean Creatures Sleep at Night? He is also the best-selling author of children's book Alice and Greta: A Tale of Two Witches. He is the father of five children, a successful entrepreneur in the broadband/cable industry, and a thriving sculptor.

Steven has appeared on the Today Show and Good Morning America to be interviewed about his books and visits schools to read to classrooms full of eager listeners.

Steven is also the author of Jasper: The Fish Who Saved a Marriage, Percy to the Rescue, Greta's Revenge, and Alice and Greta's Color Magic. In addition to his successful children's stories, he has also written The Fairness Doctrine and the Media (University of California Press).
