Bill McGarvey

Bill McGarvey is an award-winning writer, filmmaker, and musician. He first began developing The Freshman Survival Guide when he was the editor in chief of the online magazine, BustedHalo from 2004 to 2010. In 2011 he founded McG-Media where he works with clients on communications strategy and content creation across all media. His writing and multimedia campaign work has appeared in numerous outlets, including the New York Times, Washington Post, New York Daily News, The Nation, NPR, BBC, SiriusXM, Salon, Democracy Now, Vatican News, Commonweal, Time Out New York, The Tablet (London) and Factual (Spain).
