Esperanza Perez

Hi, I’m Esperanza and I live daily by the motto: Lifetime Learning - 'Be the best you can be, never let anyone hold you back, and strive to make your dreams a reality". I am a passionate change maker who enjoys finding new and innovative ways to be intentional and driven to reach goals while helping others along the way.

I am a wife of 20+ years to Hector, a mother to Jade and Jazmin, and have two small pups, Cujo and Lulu. Faith and family are my rock, and they continue to propel and push me forward to reach and achieve beyond what I could ever conceive growing up in poverty.

I am a proud University of Central Florida (UCF) graduate. I obtained a master’s in accounting, a bachelor’s degree in both finance and accounting, and a minor in nonprofit management. Through two careers and many reinventions in my life I have had the opportunity to work with a diverse set of individuals in retail, property management, real estate, non-profit, and a Big 4 Accounting firm. Over the years, I have led “diversity” events that have built an inclusive work culture. These include a recurring panel series on leadership since 2018, a national Culture Champion, and involvement in community programs. My passion for community, growth, and development makes my corporate role one that enhances meaningful contributions.

It was an honor and a privilege to lead the reactivation of the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA) - Denver Professional Chapter and serve as its President through 2023. Twice, I was awarded the national ALPFA Rising Star as an up-and-coming star, which celebrates our nation's high-performing Latinas dedicated to building fruitful careers driven by community impact. In 2023 I was awarded the Latinas to Watch which highlights 50 of the nation's most impactful Latinas focused on using their skills, talents, and positions to service and elevate others.
