Ryan Novak

Born and raised in Canton, Ohio, Ryan has been a gamer almost since he learned to walk, having cut his teeth on an Atari 2600 joystick. He graduated from the University of Akron in 2006 with a BS in Computer Science; how that factors into writing video game-related books he’s still not sure, but he is fairly certain that it does somehow. His writing credits include a number of such books, including the Stardew Valley Guidebook (Fangamer, 2016) and the Hollow Knight Wanderer’s Journal (Fangamer, 2019) to name just two; he has also contributed to many others as editor, producer, or whatever the situation calls for. He still lives in northeast Ohio with his partner, Kari Fry, along with several dozen plush cats (which are far easier and cheaper to take care of than real cats).
