Julie is a mom of 3 rambunctious boys and numerous animals ranging from dogs, small mammals, birds, reptiles, and aquatic creatures. She loves all things related to fun and adventure including but not limited to Halloween, dinosaurs, zombies, escape rooms, puzzles, traveling, reading, writing, collecting books, and more! She owns over 400 books and hopes to have her own private library one day. She is known to cover her walls at home with photos of family and friends, colorful paintings, and other various art pieces mostly created by her children or herself. She loves to decorate her car with stickers and magnets of things she adores or mementos of places she's been. She loves to travel, especially on long road trips that always and inevitably cause many scattered stops to hidden gems along the way, and also by train or plane. She has a great ambition to visit each state at least once in her lifetime. She started writing a few stories and novels years ago with the hopes to one day finish and publish them, but was not able to pursue her dreams head-on until January 2022 when she quit working for the family business to devote her time to doing only the things that she truly loves. She sincerely believes that being a full-time author is her true calling! Through her books, she wishes to inspire and bring out the natural creativity that she believes exists within all people - to instill a desire to push themselves courageously forward as they embark on life's many journeys. She hopes her books will spark excitement in many who may have never considered becoming an author or illustrator; she'd love for her books to motivate others to do just that! She does intend to continue mostly self-illustrating her books, but will also work with a talented young co-illustrator on books that will be more people-oriented as she is personally better at drawing scenery and animals. Julie has books planned for all ages. She started her publishing career with her children's "So Sweet" picture book series but has plans for an early reader series as well as a middle-grade chapter book. For her young adult readers, she is working on a fantasy book series.
