C. G. Farr

C.G. Farr, a lifelong resident of central South Carolina, loved to tell stories when he was a child and sometimes "enhanced" details when describing actual events. After earning a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of South Carolina-Columbia, he worked as a radio announcer before moving to print media and becoming an award-winning newspaper/magazine editor and photographer. Beginning in 2007, he continues to work as an itinerant stage director for theatre companies in central South Carolina. His original short play, "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?", was one of eight winners in the 2023 Chapin Theatre Company 10-Minute-ish Play Festival. A classically trained lyric baritone, he occasionally sings at local events. Farr has been a participant in or supporter of LGBTQ+ events and causes for more than 30 years.
