Karis Ens

Karis Ens enjoys drinking hot tea, spending time with her pets, learning French and Japanese, and exploring local libraries. At her home, she teaches piano, classical guitar, violin, and sewing lessons. She is an accompanist, seamstress, and author. Her first book, God is Real (So is the Devil), was published in 2016 and its second edition released in 2023. In 2020, she was inspired to write her first children’s book based on a true piano lesson, entitled Piano Boy: Neighborhood Hero. The A Girl and Her Cat children’s series is about her beloved cat, Pepper, whom she had for eighteen years, from his first month of life until his final breath. Happy as Gold is a picture book and flipbook in one. It is about a gold fish who learns, when he is rejected by a group of fish he wanted to be friends with, to seek friendship elsewhere and to continue to radiate his golden glow.
