Edwin Johnson

LT COL (R) EDWIN GODFREY JOHNSON is a Certified Coaching and Mentoring Professional (CCMP) with specialization in the area of Leadership and Personal Development. He holds an Advanced Certificate in Coaching & Mentoring and a Certificate in Performance Coaching which is recognized and accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), the world’s most recognized professional coaching body. He is a Master Trainer for leadership development programs with ITD World.

He was commissioned in 1962 into the Malaysian Ordnance Corps, an integral branch of Armed Forces Logistics Service and has accumulated 30 years of leadership experience. He has been professionally trained (both locally and overseas) in Inventory Management, Planning and Work Study, Personal Management, Warehousing Operations Supply & Materials Management, Leadership and Training Methodology. He graduated from the Armed Forces Staff College in 1980 with a Diploma in Military Studies.

After military service, he had a very successful career in the life insurance industry for 10 years. He began his career as a corporate trainer with Speech Dynamics (established by Gerald Green, Toastmaster Accredited Speaker), training in Public Speaking Skills, Conversational English for the Hospitality Industry, Telephone Communication Skills and Articulation Skills for Toastmasters. He was also a professional trainer for the Malaysian Institute of Management (Penang Branch) from 1995-2005, conducting courses in Leadership, Supervisory Skills and Business Communication.

Since 2005, he has been with ITD World as a Senior Consultant and Master Trainer, regularly conducting courses in Coaching and Mentoring skills, Leadership development, Power Speaking and Virtual Power Speaking for many multinational organizations, notably a Power Speaking Course for participants at Taiwan's Civil Service Institute and a Virtual Power Speaking Course for a group of leaders serving in the he United Nations.
