Bryan D. Sims grew up in south Louisiana, where the right teachers and the right books found him at exactly the right time. He read his way through every science fiction and fantasy novel he could get his hands on, and somewhere between the pages, he started believing that stories could teach you how to think as much as any classroom could.
He served in the military, lived all over the world, and earned a master's in electrical engineering. But the thing that stayed with him — the thing he kept coming back to — was the way a good book could make a kid feel brave and curious and capable of something bigger than they'd imagined.
The Alsworth Protocol is his first novel. He wrote it for the kind of reader he used to be.
He lives with his wife Jazmin and their two daughters.
