Matthew Eric Johnson

After getting his start as a freelance writer, writing a wide range of content for commercial clients, Matthew Johnson expanded his list of skills to include getting work as a freelance photo editor, graphic designer, digital animator and visual effects artist, working on independent film productions and commercial clients, ranging from advertisements to music videos.

Further combining those skills led to Matthew writing and illustrating his first book, a fun-fact collection titled, "Owls Don't Have Eyeballs, and 101 Other Fun Facts That You Didn't Know That You Didn't Know". Once that book was completed, Matthew worked with his father, Robert Johnson, in writing the nautical history book, "Seven Days and Seven Nights of High Seas Heroics: The Rescue of the Caleb Grimshaw Passengers - November 1849", featuring the true story of Captain David Cook, a shared ancestor.

Soon afterward, he began his journey into the realm of fiction with the writing of his ongoing fantasy novel series, "The Stobrimore Chronicles".
