Many years ago, Hoi came to the U.S. as a foreign student from Asia. She eventually settled down, worked a regular job and had a normal family. There have been ups and downs in that life, but it is still just a common story among many who walk this path. There is nothing that stands her out in either her public or private life, but it is her invisible secret life that she attempts to reveal. In this life, worlds collide, senses overload, emotions shatter, past is voided, future becomes present. It is her secret life that she writes about.
