Margie van Tonder is a force to be reckoned with – either through good food, delicious baked goodies, or inspirational bites of wisdom or experience to help humankind along this path of life!
Margie is a pastor, author, baker and an artist. She lives in Auckland, New Zealand, and loves reading, writing, music, cooking, baking, praying and painting. Her family and cats, Mishka and Kasha, are the mainstays of her life, God being at the top of the list. She has been following God for more than 45 years and this is her 5th book. Margie is married to André and has two sons, Kyle and Keagan.
In her words: “I love painting to display God’s glory and writing to escape to a world of imagination and reality showing God’s incredible miraculous ways. I am passionate about people and helping them along the path to find peace and wholeness. We have all been broken along the way and, just like Paul, I hope to encourage that, although we are often in crisis, God is there for us no matter what. The answers don’t always come easily, so when a ‘God-nudge’ happens with situations, I love sharing these stories to really inspire others. It is like when the Israelites crossed the Red Sea; in the physical there was a reef there, so put together with the supernatural, a miracle happened and the Red sea opened up for the Israelites to walk through it. It is mind blowing, has God written all over it and says it all, I hope that everybody who feels alone, sad, depressed or has given up, will be lifted up by my true-life experiences.”
