Immersed in the world of dance since the age of 5, Rebecca Sutter has always had an unwavering passion for ballet and classical music. After completing schooling in the heart of New York City, Rebecca began teaching for her sister at the Artistic Dance Conservatory.
Within the walls of the conservatory Rebecca discovered her talent for adapting beloved children's stories into captivating short ballets. It wasn’t until 2016 that Rebecca took a bold step and ventured into the realm of creating an original ballet. Thus, 'The Magical Divide' was born.
Fueling her creative journey, Rebecca recalls a transformative moment when she was listening to a remixed version of Vivaldi's 'Spring.' The ethereal melodies and evocative harmonies ignited a spark within, bringing together the inspiration behind the ballet. Drawn by the power of Vivaldi's compositions, Rebecca embarked on a remarkable artistic endeavor that brought 'The Magical Divide' to life.
Since its inception, 'The Magical Divide' has served as a springboard for Rebecca’s creativity. She has gone on to write three more original ballets, each a testament to her love for the art form. With dreams of transforming these ballets into books, Rebecca continues to push the boundaries of her imagination and artistic expression.
Currently residing in the picturesque landscapes of western Massachusetts, Rebecca shares her life with three beautiful daughters, two loyal canine companions, and her best friend and husband.
Rebecca still teaches ballet at the Artistic Dance Conservatory in East Longmeadow Ma., where she strives to kindle the flames of inspiration and ignite the imaginations of her students.
