Before becoming a children’s writer, my career took me from International Marketing to Primary School Teaching — and it was there that my love of storytelling truly began. I loved nothing more than reading stories aloud, making children laugh, and watching their imaginations take flight.

Today, I write gentle, imaginative picture books inspired by nature, friendship, animals, and the quiet magic hidden in everyday moments. My books include Charley & Ralph Under the Willow Tree and Slimy Tiny’s Garden, both beautifully illustrated by the very talented Karina Syevalnyeva, whose artwork brings so much charm to every page.

I live in the Hertfordshire countryside with my family and our mischievous wire fox terrier, Ralph — a little character in his own right, and often the inspiration behind my stories.

When I write, I hope to create the kind of books children will want to curl up with at bedtime — stories filled with warmth, wonder, gentle humour, and magical little adventures they’ll want to return to again and again.
