Rita Winkler

Rita Winkler is a Canadian artist whose bold colors, joyful animals, and imaginative scenes celebrate the beauty of seeing the world differently. Born with Down syndrome, Rita creates from instinct, curiosity, and delight, turning nature and everyday experiences into expressive artwork filled with warmth and humor.

Her paintings inspired Color Outside the Lines, an animal coloring book for ages 4-9 that invites children to create freely and discover there is no single right way to color. Her artwork is also featured in My Art, My World.

Through her art, Rita encourages creativity, inclusion, confidence, and a deeper appreciation for the unique way every person experiences the world.
