Gail Pemberton

In my forties I found my lifelong passion, when, after an earlier career in finance and financial journalism, I started studying psychology and psychotherapy.

Not only did I realise how much I personally needed help but then to find the excitement and joy in being able to help others improve their lives via enhancing their relationships.

My work led me to want to understand the power of the biggest part of our brain, our unconscious. I believe when we grasp the full power of our unconscious mind, we have the tools of transformation in all aspects of our lives.

My three books: You Can Live with Anyone, Well Almost deals with the unconscious and projection; The Brain's Business combines my business understanding with psychology; Your Brain Friend & Foe looks at the neuroscience underpinning our brain. When we realise that our brain as well as being our greatest friend, can also be our greatest foe when it becomes an overactive saboteur in its role as the protector of our life.

I teach psychotherapy to students at university, supervise therapists' clinical work, coach executives through the business school AGSM, (University of New South Wales) in Australia, as well as work with individuals and couples, whilst continually learning and writing.

Married to the same wonderful guy for fifty years, we have three grown children of whom I am very proud and six grandchildren. Life with all its ups and downs is a good, fascinating growth experience.
