Loren N Hackney

Ms. Loren Hackney is an African American retired English teacher, a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., and a Philadelphia native. With a passion for writing that began in the third grade, she fully embraced her craft nearly a decade ago after retiring from teaching due to a traumatic brain injury (TBI). Ms. Hackney's remarkable journey includes surviving two clinical deaths on the operating table.

During her recovery, she published her first children's book, "The Tangle Fairy," through Pen It Publications. The book received rave reviews and gained popularity on social media platforms. Embracing a new entrepreneurial path, Ms. Hackney has ventured into self-publishing. Her books, filled with humor and profound messages, aim to make readers and parents laugh while learning.
