Raymond Niblock

Raymond L. Niblock is the author of The Last Independence Day, a political thriller that examines the power dynamics in a future where political and legal institutions stand on the brink of collapse. A graduate of the New Mexico Military Institute, Raymond served in the United States Army Reserves before completing his undergraduate studies in philosophy and political theory at the University of New Mexico—fields that deeply influence his writing.

After earning his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1993, he built a career as a trial lawyer, bringing raw authenticity and sharp insight into human conflict to his fiction. His work reflects a keen observation of the political landscape and the complexities of contemporary socio-political discourse.

Since releasing his debut novel, Raymond has been at work on its sequel while also completing Huldufólk: A Modern Icelandic Folktale, a sweeping work of literary fantasy that explores exile, forbidden longing, and the redemptive power of love against the backdrop of Icelandic folklore. His next manuscript, The American of Venice, is already underway as well.
