Lloyd Jansen van Vuuren

Lloyd has a passion for the local and national church to experience depth and intimacy in their relationship with Christ fuelled and sustained by prayer. Over the last few years Lloyd has been involved in workplace evangelism which led to the formation of the prayer initiative ‘Concert of Prayer for Scotland’. Through this ministry, God led him to gather Christians of many denominations to ‘cry out mightily to God’ (Jonah 2:8) for Scotland.

The Concert of Prayer for Scotland wants to get Scotland ‘Revival Ready’ by stirring, equipping and training local Scottish churches to enjoy Spirit-led, God-focused, times of prayer and worship in the presence of God all the time, so that local churches can effectively do what they have been called to: Glorifying God through discipleship, raising leaders, planting churches, proclaiming Jesus, demonstrating loving communities on mission, worshiping God, loving their cities and locations.

The Concert of Prayer wants to see local Scottish churches succeed in THEIR God-given callings, THEIR mission, by getting behind what THEY are already doing, and in particular getting their prayer furnaces going and hot, in such a way that corporate prayer is a thrill, a joy, a delight, a privilege: "making them joyful in my house of prayer...for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples.”

Lloyd grew up in Zimbabwe and moved to the United Kingdom almost twenty years ago. Although initially based in the Isle of Man, he has spent the most recent years near Edinburgh, Scotland. He is part of a vibrant church plant in Edinburgh Victory Hill Church which is part of a wider family of churches across the world Regions Beyond.
