Dave Maass is an award-winning journalist, writer and educator from the American Southwest. He is director of investigations at the Electronic Frontier Foundation, where he researches police surveillance and border security technology. He is also a scholar in residence at the Reynolds School of Journalism at the University of Nevada, Reno, leading the Atlas of Surveillance project. His work, including many years as a San Diego Comic-Con correspondent, has appeared in Wired, Daily Beast, Rolling Stone, Vice Motherboard and alternative newsweeklies across the United States.
