Mikia Burrell

I'm a millennial author hailing from Baltimore. I've been in love with reading and writing for as long as I can recall. Poetry was my first venture into writing and as the years progressed, so did my hunger for self expression via short stories and novels. My works always include a nod to my family and hometown, as they have shaped my passion for my craft. I try to write inclusive, realistic, emotional and sometimes funny pieces. I am grateful to share a piece of myself in every book I publish and grateful to each reader I can engage.
