Laura Daly

Laura Daly is an educator, curriculum author, and the creator of Write and Read. With 17 years of experience teaching middle and high school English in Title I schools, Laura understands the challenge of finding learning materials that are academically meaningful and engaging for students.

Laura holds a bachelor’s degree in Secondary English Education and a master’s degree in Education. Considering herself a lifelong learner, she also completed two graduate programs beyond her master’s degree: one that included student teaching overseas and one that explored teaching writing across all content areas.

After leaving the classroom, Laura turned her passion for teaching into creating educational resources for teachers and homeschool families. Her books include complete ELA curricula, novel studies, grammar and vocabulary resources, graphic organizers, and skill-based workbooks designed for students in upper elementary through high school.

Laura believes rigorous learning doesn’t have to be complicated or boring. Her goal is to create resources that encourage students to read closely, think critically, write confidently, and become more independent learners while making teaching a little easier.

When she isn’t creating curriculum, Laura enjoys spending time with her family. She lives in the Midwest with her husband, who teaches middle school history, and their two boys.
