Dani Dee

That is why the purpose of my work is to create books and art that comfort and encourage clients where they work and live.

Born to a Methodist minister and an elementary school teacher, I benefitted by meeting and learning from experts around the world.

I left the US, at the age 16, to study for a year as an exchange student in Germany. It was in Germany that I began studying photography.

Returning to America a year later, I earned a BA degree in foreign languages and an MA in Communication Arts.

While in college, I worked in the Advertising Dept of Sears in Topeka.

Then, I became a teacher after graduation and filled my career with jobs in:

* corporate training and promotional publications as well as other media

* government administration

* non-profit management and advocacy

* directing, filming and editing training films

Now, an author and digital artist, I write cozy novels and create new images from my own digital photographs and those taken by the talented photographers in my family.

There are several people who write under the pen name of "Dani Dee". I have been writing under this pen name for a couple of decades.

My uncle, a journalist for the Chicago Sun Times - later personnel director for the Chicago Tribune - wrote under the pen name "Danny Deever".

Many ancestors on my father's side came to America from Scotland - where the poem "Danny Deever" ("... they're hangin’ Danny Deever in the mornin’...) was popular.

"Jewels Among The Ruins" is the only work of fiction I've published - and I published it under my pen name "Dani Dee".

My varied artworks reflect the diversity of cultures in which I've worked and lived ... My drive is solely focused on benefitting the people my writing and artwork serve.
