I'm JP Gillespie, a children's book author from Las Vegas, Nevada

and I write because I know firsthand what the right story can do for

a child.

Growing up, writing wasn't just a hobby for me. It was a lifeline.

The books and stories I escaped into shaped who I became, and they're

a big part of why I'm committed to creating stories that are just as

meaningful as they are magical.

Every book in the Drake's Adventures series is built around that

belief: that great children's stories don't just entertain, they

quietly plant seeds of empathy, honesty, resilience, and real

friendship that kids carry with them long after the last page.

When I'm not writing, I'm a proud advocate for misunderstood dog

breeds and a devoted parent to three American Bullies, daily

reminders that loyalty and love are never about appearances.
