"I have always loved books and definitely got that from my parents," Schwartz says. "I still love a good
story and, as a teacher, I can tell you most students do too."
The House Across the Road and Other Stories is Dave Schwartz's first book of fiction. As a writer of prose, Dave is largely influenced by Roald Dahl, Ernest Hemingway, and Kurt Vonnegut.
People Have Pets is Dave's second published work and his first illustrated children's book. “Stories spark the imagination and provide joy,” Schwartz says. “I hope this book brings together kids and adults, just like pets do."
