A.D. Childers is a Kansas-born writer and educator. She loves a good mystery, especially with a paranormal twist, and her writing is full of turns that keep the reader guessing. Her debut novel, The Switch Point, has been described as “a thinking-person’s book," and received a 2025 Kansas Notable Book Award. She loves the writing of David Baldacci, Ray Bradbury, Tana French, and Kathy Reichs.
Childers holds a Master’s in Creative Writing for Educators from Fairleigh Dickinson University and is active with several writing groups in her area. She loves working with writers, and her students consistently inspire her with their creativity and brilliance. In her free time, she enjoys walking the local trails or hanging out at the public library. She lives with her wonderful husband, who, in addition to being her biggest supporter, is also a phenomenal cook, and one ridiculously snuggly Great Pyrenees.
