Growing up on a large farm was an unforgettable, priceless childhood.

I have many fond memories of hard work, chores,s and many hours playing outside and climbing trees with my sisters.

We spent countless hours digging holes in the straw mow, creating amazing forts. We'd drag blankets, books, toys, food, and flashlights up there and spend countless hours playing and hiding from our parents.

The farming community is similar to a small town/large family vibe, where everyone know everyone AND their business.

Kids were disciplined by ALL adults. We were very respectful to everyone.

My mother always had a large vegetable garden, tons of canned products in the cold cellar and we always had meat in the freezer. I appreciated sitting working alongside many woman and children preparing food for preserving.

It was common to finish working a field, then go help another farm with theirs. Large dinners were laid out on extending tables and we either ate where ever we were working or fed those who were working for us. The art of being able to cook good hearty dinners is something that I still do today.

I cherich the small town/large family vibe and wish that all could have the same foundation that I have had.
