Seth J. Schwartz

Seth J. Schwartz is Professor of Kinesiology, Health Education, and Educational Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin. He taught at the University of Miami from 2000-2020 prior to moving to Texas. Dr. Schwartz is a native New Yorker and moved to Florida when he was 10 years old. He is an avid distance runner, passionate sports fan, and devoted husband and father. He and his wife Lisa are the parents of two young adult children.

Dr. Schwartz's scholarly interests involve identity, culture, immigration, family relationships, and well-being. He has published or edited 4 books and is working on a fifth.
