Sue Nichols

Sue Nichols is a friend to all creatures, (people and animals, big and small). Rescuing animals (and sometimes people) is a favorite pastime. Working as a Registered Dietitian and Nutrition Educator by day, Sue loves to spend time with people of all ages, but she works mostly with seniors. On weekends, a very favorite thing to do is hanging with her grandkids and their friends, creating fun craft projects, and playing board games.

Sue and her husband love to watch baseball, both in home stadiums and at away games, cheering for their home team. It came to Sue's attention, by happenstance, that there were no children's picture books about baseball in New York City's favorite stadiums. While at a baseball game recently, Sue noticed that pigeons are often on the ballfield, trying to join in the fun. Friendly pigeons on the ballfield in the Bronx was the inspiration for this story. Smidgen, the Baseball-Loving Pigeon is her first children’s book.
