Deborah Vriend Van Duinen

Dr. Deborah Vriend Van Duinen is the Arnold and Esther Sonneveld Professor of English Education at Hope College in Holland, MI. She is the founder and director of Hope College's Big Read Lakeshore, an annual month-long community-wide reading program that involves over 20,000 community members. Her research interests include adolescent literacy, young adult literature, and community literacy.
