Basha Burwell

Basha is an art director & photo stylist. Also a rower, sailor, jewelry designer, Mainer, and aficionado of the authentic. Her ancestors were Boothbay schooner captains. The Maine House books are a creative collaboration (with Maura McEvoy and Kathleen Hackett ) and the culmination of a career spent connecting creative people up and down the coast and throughout Maine. Basha’s articles and essays have appeared in Wildsam’s Maine field guide, Maine Boats Homes & Harbors, and Maine magazine. Basha and her husband, the novelist Peter Behrens, and their teenage son live between Brooklin ME, Cambridge MA and far-West Texas
