Ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances - this might be a worthy introduction to the characters that populate my writing. You won't find magic and wizards in "Orlando Fassbender and The Domino Effect" but you will encounter dazzling, mysterious and frightening worlds and the people who ply their trade among them.

My creative heart lies in the world of contemporary fantasy, but I have also written humorous fiction, short stories, and articles for the internet on a range of topics from gardening and nature to history. What's more, my textbooks on English as a second language and examination preparation sell widely in Italy, Spain, and further afield.

Born in England, my background is in mental health nursing and environmental management, but since 2009 I have lived and worked in the south of Spain where I write and teach English. I can sum up my aim in writing fiction in the following way - to give pleasure to my readers, to weave tales of adventure and mystery, darkness and humanity, the touching and the extraordinary, and which leave you asking - what happens next?
