Christina Hueschen

Christina Hueschen is a professor in the Department of Cell and Developmental Biology at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). She has a B.S. in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University and did her Ph.D. at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where she fell in love with physics-based approaches to the study of cells and organisms. Christina also loves sweets, backpacking, dance, and novels. Her book The Restless Cell is the result of a joy-filled adventure into the world of active matter with co-author Rob Phillips.
