Tru D Smifff

Being a professional, psychic medium, with a quick and sometimes wayward sense of humour, Trudi was never going to be your typical London girl. Apart from her ghost hunting escapades and tarot reading, she spent most of her career in secretarial roles for company executives and was even seconded to an Intelligence Unit of a large police station. With her admin skills and extensive lust for travelling the world, her first novel 'THE BOOKS OF THYME' (by Trudi Ann Smith) was born from two passions - her pagan and mystical roots and the ancient Egyptians.

She won her first literary competition writing an article for a fishing magazine. Trudi simply explained all the mishaps she and her husband encountered during one supposed 'naughty' weekend away, which resulted in them being entered into an RNLI fishing competition off Southend. Trudi also won two trophies for most fish caught, and the biggest fish of the day and ending with a trip to A&E. But that's another story!

As a quirky mother of three and grandmother to two adorable girls, Trudi extended her written repertoire by writing a series of monster books for children. THE MONSTERS OF GLUBBS BOTTOM, (by TRU D SMIFFF) follow the comical nightly escapades of the monsters who live in cupboards under the stairs. The idea for these books was based on her eldest son's fear of such monsters in his own bedroom wardrobe. Trudi hopes her stories help other children overcome their fear of things that go bump in the night.
