Kevin Commins is a writer living in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. He was a journalist and editor for many years, during which time he helped write and publish dozens of business books. With his late wife, Mary, he was very active in animal rescue efforts, often participating in the transport of dogs across several states from shelters to their forever homes. He studied poetry and literature at Bennington College. He now devotes much of his energy to creative writing, outdoor pursuits, and making friends with all the dogs in his neighborhood.
Carrie Fulk provided the illustrations for "Dog Spelled Backwards Is Love." She has taken care of animals from a very young age and has never lived without a dog or cat. After her son, Jake, bought her watercolor paints for Christmas one year, she enthusiastically embraced the medium, sending beautifully crafted cards to friends and displaying watercolor paintings in local galleries. Friends, Michele and Kevin Commins, invited her to work on this project. Carrie lives in Wisconsin with her husband, Rick, and dog, Gemma, spending her time painting, gardening, reading, and knitting.
