Garvan is an executive adviser day-to-day and, through his practice ONEZERO1, works with business leaders to develop and execute ambitious transformations with particular focus on commercial, customer, and cultural strategies. He is active across a range of sectors including banking, insurance, education, logistics, technology, health, medicine, and public sector

Working as a strategy playmaker and execution guide with boards, C-suite leaders, and their teams, his insights and methods are built on 18 years of executive-level experience in financial services across strategy and execution, transformation leadership, and deep domain experience in customer, digital, data, and innovation. He brings fresh perspectives, ambitious thinking, and transformational change management to dynamic market and organisational challenges, with a mandate to unlock opportunities, solve enterprise-level problems, and drive execution for results

In addition to his advisory practice, Garvan is resident faculty with the Institute of Banking where he designs and delivers education programmes at all levels of the academic framework and a Teaching Fellow at Trinity Business School. A regular keynote speaker, moderator, and panellist on key strategic trends and future-focused topics, to ensure balance and personal interest, he provides pro bono support to a number of charities and public good initiatives such as Digital Identity and has served as a working member of the WEF Digital Identity Coalition

Garvan is a learning advocate given his work in education, having spent over 10 years as a member of Council of the Institute of Banking and completing numerous educational opportunities including executive programmes at MIT, IMD, Harvard Business School, Oxford Said Business School, Chicago Booth, and Singularity University. He has also attained a Diploma in Company Directorship with the Institute of Directors and serves as a Non-executive Director on a number of Boards
