Yvette Beshier

Author and Illustrator Yvette Beshier and Co-owner of Cobra Plumbing and Heating Yvette was a former Scientist for Roche Molecular System and a Police Officer for the City of Newark.  

In 2009 Yvette decided to devote more time to her passion for creativity. She started the ball rolling by doing freelance photography work for Precision Craft Boxing International, which is owned by boxing trainer James Ali Bashir.  In the same year, she would go on to do Photography work for Mighty Gloves Boxing, Main Events, and the International Boxing Federation as well.  

 

Yvette also debuted as a published poet with her first book of poetry titled “KenKluZhen, " published in June 2012. Several publications followed her first book in many different genres. 

In 2019 Yvette pushed her creativity to another level when she debuted as a playwright and a performer at the Tribeca Performing Arts Theater in New York with the 2019 Writers In Performance Ensemble in their Production of Dream. Yvette wrote and performed "Can You Hear Me Know?  Yvette was invited back to the Ensemble and has now written and performed in the Ensemble's 2020 and 2021 productions. In the Spring of 2021, Yvette released a new annual Anthology, These Changing Times, which features different themes and genres each year. 

Yvette is currently working on a children's book, I'm Autistic, and I'm Fantastic, and the second These Changing Times Anthology, as well as a few art commissions. 

 

Yvette is a Ramapo College of NJ graduate who attended Kean College for Creative Writing and The Kubert School for Cartoon, Graphic, and Sequential Art.  She currently lives in New Jersey and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
