Boris Kovačević De Fabris, born in Zagreb on March 8, 1960, is a distinguished Croatian theater director. He earned his degree in theater directing and radio production from the Academy of Theater, Film, and Television in Zagreb, Croatia, in 1983.
Over his career, he has helmed around fifty theatrical productions and contributed significantly to numerous radio dramas, TV commercials, and events. In addition to his directorial pursuits, he plays a pivotal role in leading actor seminars and workshops while collaborating with institutions dedicated to drama education. His plays and adaptations have graced the stages of theaters both in Croatia and internationally. Notably, he has authored two captivating books of children's stories.
De Fabris's professional journey includes stints as a director and drama coach at Zekaem Theater, a dramaturge at the Theater in Guests, and the directorship of the Children's Theater Dubrava. He also served as a director at the City Theater Žar Ptica. From 2009 to 2022, he held the esteemed position of artistic director at the KNAP Theater, located within the Cultural Center KNAP in Zagreb. Throughout his illustrious career, he has been honored with awards at theater festivals, both domestically and abroad, solidifying his standing as a distinguished member of the Croatian Society of Dramatic Artists.
